“A Day Over 30″ and “The Curvy Periodista” are the written words of Maria Elena (Malena) Perez, artist, vocalist and founder of Cubanita Groove Records. Perez holds degrees in Literature and Anthropology from The University of Notre Dame and served as a corporate media relations spokeswoman for Coca-Cola North America for five years. A native of Atlanta, GA, she currently resides in Brooklyn, New York and Berlin, Germany.
